MARCELLUS, N.Y. (DIA) – At Marcellus Fire Department, Syracuse alumnus Matt Goralnick discussed the significance of casting your vote ion the 2022 midterm elections.
Matt Goralnick has lived in New York since graduating from Syracuse University and says that every vote counts towards these elections.
“Being from the Syracuse area, I wanted to impact my community. That’s what these elections are. Getting to have my voice heard and cast my vote for my community is why it was extra important to cast my vote today.”
Goralnick described the importance of voting to make a change. He was passionate and deliberate about how fortunate he is to have the ability to go to the polls every election and play a part in making his voice heard.
“Many people ask for change, but if you don’t vote, change will not happen. This is how we make the change happen; we make our voices heard, go to the ballots and cast our votes. Too many Americans don’t, and it is important to do this if you want to change.”
