Democracy in Action’s Alex Beaubien spoke to local citizens at the Onondaga Town Hall
about why it is important to vote in this day and age.
Onondaga Town Hall voter, Peter Shiloh, is as consistent as a voter gets and understands
the importance of getting his vote out.

” I always come first thing in the morning… I just feel think it’s an important part of the
whole process. I have never missed an election since I was 18 years old.”>

Voter Kathy Weeks explains why voting for the midterm election and not just the
presidential election, is needed in our country today.

“You can’t change anything if you don’t vote. I don’t always come to this vote. I always
come to the presidential vote. But this time the world just seems to need us, the country
anyway.”
The Onondaga Town Hall only had a hand full of voters at nine this morning.
